Dating Scan maybe to early

Hi,
Don't know if anyone can help me, I am unsure if I am 7 weeks or 11 weeks and I am having my NT Dating scan next Wednesday as midwife said its best off using the early conception date so we don't miss the testing period, If I get there and I am only 8 weeks will I still get the NT part of the scan like will they rebook it for in a few weeks? I am just getting worried (as per usual) that I will be too early and then they wont do the tests and will send me on my way until 20 week scan. Has anyone got any experience with this? Thanks

They'll do another scan if it's too early, don't worry! Good luck x

No they will want to do the 12 week scan still.

This happened to me in my first pregnancy due to irregular cycles. They dated me from LMP which I knew was wrong, I'd even had a private scan so knew how far on I was but they wouldn't take that into account. I had my first '12 week scan' at 10 weeks which was too early for the NT bit, so I had to go back for another scan around 12.5 weeks. Bonus that you'll get to see baby again!

I had this exact thing but it turned out the earlier date was correct (and what I thought had been a light period wasn’t at all!). I was already 12+2 at the scan and thought I was 8. So definitely a good idea to go with the earlier date just in case!

Yes I was unsure, I used to log periods on an app on my phone but it broke and I cant for the life of me remember if it was mid July or mid August, I was also having strange periods as I was on the depo previously and nothing seems to go back to normal very quickly after that stuff, so it was a couple of days spotting here and there some months making everything even more confusing. So excited to see the scan, think it will all start to feel very real then, not that throwing up at 5am every morning doesn't feel real lol

I was 8+6 at my dating scan so they just rescanned 3 weeks later and I measured 12 weeks on the dot!

They booked me in too early 10+4 , so I'm going back at 13+1, I still got a scan though so I could see him, he just wasn't developed enough to do the 12 week scan, so yep they should do. They said they would cancel the 10+4 but I said no I wanted to go to both and they let me do both :)

Mariposa123 · 06/10/2018 09:10

This happened to me, I thought I was 12+1 at my scan, but when they looked the baby only measured 10+2. They can't do the 12 week scan if it's before 12 weeks, so they just booked me another scan 2 week later.
