Anti colic bottles

Hi, I’m planning on trying out breast feeding for a few weeks before moving onto formula but wanted to know if anyone recommended the anti colic tommee tippe bottles over the normal bottles? Can’t decide whether to buy the closer to nature starter kit or the colic bottles.

We have the tommee tippee anti colic bottles for DS2

DS1 has really bad colic so wasn’t taking any chances!

I tried all of the anti colic bottles. Philips were the best for my son. I would buy anti colic ones defiantly I ended up with so many bottles I never used

I've found Mam were the best for my ds, he has reflux and suffered awful colic too.
We tried nuk and dr browns as well but saw an immediate improvement with the Mam bottles.
Depends on the baby really.

You'll get lots of different opinions on this one OP as it really does depend on baby. For us we tried phillips, dr brown, tt & finally settled on MAM (bonus they are self sterilising). I remember speaking to a HV once about bottles & she hated TT bottles because of how wide the necks are - as baby hits the end of the feed there is more chance of them air sucking than with narrower necks. It made sense when i watched how DD fed so this time we went straight to MAM with no issues

Another vote for mam. We have had all manner of issues with TT and Philips. Although DD is still a pukey refluxy baby she is much happier with the mam bottles.

Side note- it may not always be the bottle that is the issue, we had a period where all she would do is scream and vomit. A change from cow and gate to sma and all was well with the world again! Very odd as ‘they are all the same’

Another for MAM. Worked for both DC's

I had a silent reflux and colic baby and we got on great with Philips Avent Natural bottles.

Another vote for MAM 🙌🏼

DD1 had colic and silent reflux, we tried numerous bottles before getting some MAM ones, but they worked amazingly! I'll definitely be using them with DD2 when she arrives.

They're also self sterilising, which is an added bonus!

Another MAM fan- the sterilising feature is very very handy for being out and about as well.

Agree with a pp about the wide necks on TT bottles- towards the end of the feed you practically have to hold the bottle vertically to ensure they aren’t sucking in air. I binned our TT stash and replaced with MAM.
