... what do you need to do?

I've had my positive, and I've booked an appointment with a midwife. Do you need to book blood tests or anything else to confirm pregnancy before you see the midwife?

It's my first time pregnant and I'm completely unaware of what I should have to do!

Nope, midwife will arrange any blood tests you need.

They generally take your word for it to be honest!

When you see your midwife she’ll run through your and your partner’s medical histories and refer you to the hospital for a scan. I got my letter a week or so after seeing the midwife :)

Congratulations!

Fantastic, thanks so much. It feels like such an age away, I can't wait for that midwife appointment.

Thank you for your advice. I'm so new to this and we're trying to keep it under wraps for now xx
