Have I MC?

Hi everyone. I have tried speaking to my gp about this but got no support or advice.
I had my Mirena coil removed last month and have been actively trying for a baby since. I have had a few symptoms; nausea/metal taste/breast tenderness so planned to test on 1/10/18. However, on Sunday night during a time my DP and I were ttc, i started bleeding, a lot. Thinking I had just come on my period, I pulled my disheartened self together and just thought "there's always next month". Tuesday however, the pain was horrendous and I was doubled over clutching my belly. I stood up and the amount of blood I lost was phenomenal. After that, I started losing lumps that looked like liver.
The pain and blood loss now is just like a 'normal period but I just feel exhausted! Dr said it could be a nasty 1st period after having the Mirena out but I've had I've out before and never had that happen. I've also never m/c before. Any advice on this would be so helpful and appreciated as my head is an absolute mess.

Hey @gothqueen sorry you’ve had a stressful and rough experience! I had Mirena coils in the past but have gone straight onto other contraceptive following removal so don’t remember having this happen. It could be your body getting back into your normal cycle and I remember when I had the copper coil the periods were so heavy that massive clots also passed. Did you take a pregnancy test at all? I expect if you were pregnant it would still show as positive if you are still bleeding. Hopefully you’re feeling back to normal soon x

My mc's showed negative when I was bleeding.
So that won't help.
Its highly highly likely its just your body getting back to normal, and totally normal to feel exhausted after a huge amount of blood loss too.
Even my normal super heavy periods wiped me out for the week, oddly enough, my mc's weren't ever as heavy or painful and never occurred when we were together in bed. But my chemical a little after stopping my pill contraceptive was the worst and heaviest I've had.

Hopefully everything goes well for you soon!

Good morning,

Thankyou for your comments. I have done copious amounts of research of what has happened this week and it seems I will never have a definitive answer. It does seem more likely that it is a very bad period after having my coil removed but the niggle of it being something else will always be there.

Thankyou again for your kind words of support.
