Hello Ladies! 😊

I posted last night after my membrane sweep for a little advice on what my midwife had said (my plug had gone, I was 2cm dialated and cervix was soft) what I was experiencing (pressure, cramps and regular toilet trips for wees and poops - tmi sorry) in the hope that I may go into Labour overnight with some suggestions on extra help to get things going... I was on my birthing ball, eating pineapple, drinking extra cups of raspberry leaf tea and I even got some good Pum-Pum (despite how unsexy I felt) and I’m still here ☹️

So this morning I woke up and felt like I’d done a little wee in my pad so I waddled to the loo hoping it could be my waters. Changed my pad but again nothing else just peeing a lot! My hips ached slightly and I have mild cramps again and this is what I need the help on I’ve just been for my millionth wee of the day and I’ve lost a brown mucus blob? Blush I’d assume that this would be my plug but my midwife said yesterday it had definitely gone? Confused should I hang on and see what happens!? Or is it time to call the midwife as I’m confused and abit worried.

Might be worth double checking as I felt wet the day after my sweep (like I'd had a wee but knew I hadn't) so I called in and turned out my waters were trickling and I had to be induced the following day. Might not be the same but worth an ask to put your mind at ease if anything x

@Yakadee

Thank you for your reply. It was literally a little trickle and then I’ve had nothing else apart from peeing like mad... my mum said she lost her waters this way but I know no 2 pregnancies are the same x

That's what it was like for me. They called it 'waters trickling'. I had to go in, wear a special pad for 30 mins and see if it detected my waters - it did, so was booked in 24 hours later.

How far along are you? I'm assuming if you've had a sweep you're 40+ x

I’ll give them a call then and tell them everything that’s happened.

I’m 38+6 but I didn’t find out I was pregnant until I was 20 weeks and given the 12th October as my due date. I’ve been having monthly growth scans since to check on baby and at my last scan 2 weeks ago today, baby was measuring at 40 weeks so they booked me in for a sweep just incase they’d got my dates wrong Confused and if that didn’t work then I would be induced. But I’ve been worrying since my scan just incase I’ll be 42 weeks tomorrow instead of 39 because of potential complications after 42 weeks Sad x

Brown blob might be the hind waters, I had that happen.

You need to call your midwife and go in to be checked.

Good luck, doesn't sound like it will be long!

Shock I’ll make the call! Thanks ladies Smile x
