Hiya! I’m 39+1 and going in for induction tomorrow at 9pm! I’m being induced due to high BP for weeks but do not have preeclampsia. When they done an examination yesterday I’m already 2cm dilated and 50% effaced so they’re taking me back in to break my waters...
This is my first baby and I would like to hear your experiences with induction

When i had the thing put in to increase contractions that hurt like hell (the contractions) so they gave me Diar morphine which helped me sleep for an hour, then they took me up to break my waters but gave birth waiting for the doctor to come give me the epidural, took 10 minutes of pushing :D my waters even popped during the actual delivery.
I will say.. the diar morphine worked wonders and any future children i have i wont be needing any more than that most likely, didnt feel a thing with the actual birth which was surprising... was just like going for a number 2 but having too put a bit more effort into it.

Was really scared of pushing as i thought it would be really painful but it wasn't. just learn your breathing/pushing exercises as i had no idea how to actually push as my midwife said i was just making the sounds/ pushing from the throat but not actually using my pelvis hahah

I was really lucky that the whole thing from contraction to birth took about an hour and it wasn't really painful, After the morphine it just felt achey like a period.

Oh also my boy came out 9lb 10 so a big boy :D looked like a purple alien but was very cute, get ready for the most overwhelming feeling of love you've ever felt.

That is the one thing i wasn't prepared for, never knew you could feel such love ^^
