Morning ladies, I'm brand new to this site and simply joined to get the advice of you lovely more experienced people.

Alright so here goes. My monthly times are usually completely clockwork, I know pretty much what day is the month it is based on when I have them. Now I'm not trying to conceive, in fact I'm a really careful person when it comes to sex. The thing is, first week in September, my other half was convinced he had a condone split. Now I'm at the point of my life that we both sort of said, the chances are slim, and if it happened it happened (we were planning on having children but not for a couple more years).

So, moving on from that to why I'd like a bit of advice. I'm now late by two and a half weeks, I did do a HPT last week as it's strange for me to be late in any way, however they were both negative. So obviously I continued on without thinking. Three days ago I got what I assumed would be the start of my period, however it was a very small amount of just brown, snotty-brown discharge. I mean an extremely small amount and only for a day or two. I have no other signs or worries but again the discharge is now gone and no signs of my monthly lady time. So do you all think it would be worth doing another test?

Thanks for listening ladies. ❤️

Just to add. My last lady time started on the 20th August and he's convinced his condom broke on around the 1st / 2nd September.

Definitely test again. If it wasn't a period and you're 2 and a half weeks late you should definitely get a positive if you're pregnant. First Response test are the best as they're sensitive and have a good reputation. Blue dye tests are notorious for evap lines and digital aren't as sensitive.

Good luck!

Id go to the doctors asap and get them to use one of there tests and check your cervix. I am 27 weeks pregnant after 4 miscarriages and i had some bleeding as you described around 7 weeks ... get yourself a digital test to (pregnant/not pregnant) i learnt that these were the quickest and clearest way to know for sure.

On a more negative note, although I really dont want to scare you but i did have 4 MCs and my last one i spent a week umming and ahhing whether it was a weird period slightly late period or not (as i had a negative test) but doctors test showed positive and i was checked to make sure the miscarriage was complete with no complications.

I think a word with the receptionist to fit you in for a quick appointment and visit to the doctors would be the best way.

Hope it works out well for you xx

Hello! So I had a very similar situation to yourself, and actually our dates basically match as well! I had the brown spotting system and then nothing else so I took a test and it was positive. Bit of a shock as I'm on the pill and weren't planning kids until next year but nonetheless we're delighted. Maybe worth another test to see, doing it in the morning is also meant to better as hcg levels are higher then. If I came back negative and your period still doesn't appear then defo worth a trip to the GP.

Keep us posted! X

Hey guys! Thanks for your responses. So I actually did another test today - but the only ones the supermarkets had were their home brand ones and it was Negative, I got my dates a little wonky and i would actually be two weeks over period time right now. So maybe it's possible my body clock is just screwing with me? I've had no stress or anything and I've never missed one before so it's just odd for me, but I suppose at two weeks over there is no chance a test would still be negative?

So perhaps I'll just have to wait and see if my usually monthly time comes in? I've had no more signs of discharge - or any kind of cramping that hasn't been mild, nothing compared to when I get my monthly time because I can usually barely function they are so heavy 😅

Hi everyone looking for some advice my last period was the 8th of sept, i then had light spotting pinky/brown discharge on 29/30th sept on and off, and since then my stomach feels very bloated and mild cramps and lots of wind, weird I know but my stomach feels heavy and full. Boobs seem fine nothing unusual.
Could these be pregnancy symptoms as did have sex with my partner around the 21-24th which I work out to be around ovulation.
Never felt like this before.
My period is due in the next few days so I’m wanting to wait to do a test but wondered if anyone else has had symptoms like this and what was the outcome.
Thank you ladies x

Hi Ladies,

I honestly would highly recommend going to your doctors still @Foreverh0pe ... purley because if it was a very early miscarriage (which can be called a chemical pregnancy) and wouldnt be as heavy as a MC further down the line - they will be able to tell and make sure nothing is left behind which could cause infection.

Dont want to sound negative but i thought i knew all about miscarriage after all i went through but found myself unsure in january and almost brushed it off ... luckily the thought kept niggling me and i did go to the doctors who confirmed an early MC. My home tests said negative but that was because my HGT was so low, doctors ones detect even the lowest amount of HGT that how we found out.

I very much hope that its not a MC and is just a odd period!

@Unsure12345 these sound like pregnancy symptoms .. get a clear blue digital and take a day or so after your due, this way you will get the best chance of knowing. Good luck xx
