When I had Dd you had to start your leave by the Sunday of the expected week of Childbirth, this seems to have changed. Am I right in reading that you can start your leave right up to the day before your EDD? Not that I'm that desperate but it's handy to know.

as far as I know, you can start it as late as you want but the day baby is born, the mat leave automatically starts. HTH

Just checked and I was right: "Maternity Leave lasts for 26 weeks and may begin at a time of the woman?s choosing, any time from 11 weeks before the expected week of birth up until the birth itself."
