Im 36.4 weeks pregnant with my second. Since last night I've noticed a couple of gushes and a dampness in my knickers. Not enough to need a pad..

Too late to call the midwife...feel stupid calling the hospital but am now having a slight panic. Any advice?

I had this exact thing and it was just discharge, but I rang hospital and they told me to go in and checked for me. They don't mind at all Smile

The health care professionals are there to help you. They will know how to go forward with this, so call you’re hospital.
Good luck with your new arrival x

Waters have a very distinct smell, a bit like straw. Sounds like discharge, but no harm getting checked out.

Thanks ladies.

Got through to the hosp and am heading in after frantically packing a bag! I'm not ready for this yet!!

Give it a sniff. Waters have a distinct smell (semen, straw or sweet seem to be the most common descriptions). Pop a pad on so they can be tested.

Fingers crossed
