How long did you wait?

Just wondering how long people waiting from first appointment with midwife to actually getting a scan? It's only been a week and I'm dying for a letter with a scan date

How many weeks are you?

First time round I had midwife at 8 weeks and was referred for scan. Letter with scan date came around 10 weeks and scan was 12 weeks 5 days.

@Waitingonasmiley42 I'm 8 weeks 3 days now(I'm guessing) but been 10 and half weeks since my last period I seen the midwife a week ago xx

My first scan was later than most people have theirs. I was around 16 weeks when I had mine

My appointment with my midwife was on 18th September, I got my letter on the 28th and my scan is 5th October.

It will depend on how many weeks you are, my midwife went from the date of my last period which would make me approx 13 weeks at my scan but I think il only be around 10 weeks due to my irregular cycles.

I was running to the door every time the post man came until I got my letter!

First scan was 12-13 weeks. My first mw appts we're both at 8 weeks. With my second there were a few issues and ended up with earlier scans at EPU.

I had my first midwife app at 7+6 and she called up and booked my scan for 12 weeks there

I had my first MW appointment on the 14th September when I was 8+3 and I'm still waiting for my letter
I will be 11 weeks tomorrow so I'm getting really impatient. How long should I wait before I call the MW to enquire?

@mojoclojo I would phone and see just incase the letter got lost in the post ect, if I don't hear of them by next week I be phoning xx

I had my first appointment at between 6 and 7 weeks, my booking at I think 9 weeks (we have an appointment with a midwife before the booking here, bit pointless in my opinion!) and my scan was at 12+1 according to lmp. The scan put me back by 4 days though so I was actually 11+4. Your scan has to be between 11 weeks and 13+6 weeks if you want the screening tests so there's no point having it too early. Although it does feel like such a long time when you are waiting for it!
