31+6 baby's abdominal area measuring off the 95th percentile

I have just had a scan to see if my low laying placenta had moved out of the way (it has thankfully) however, they did other measurements all was fine but when they measured the abdominal area it was off the 95th percentile. They also said that his estimated weight is currently 4.7lbs. I am 31+6 weeks and looking quickly online I have seen that the average weight at this gestation is around 3.7... First question how much did your baby weight at 31/32 weeks gestation. Also has anyone else had the problem with the larger abdominal area but been ok?

I am re booked in for gestational diabetes test next week, I had this test only last month.

I remember being in such a panic after my first baby’s head and abdomen measured off the scale. He was an average baby although born at 6lbs at 34 weeks. Now he is 50th percentile. My second baby measured big and was (nine and a half pounds born at 37 weeks) and has settled at 75th percentile so I’d say the abdomen measurement was reflected in their birth weight but they didn’t look like they had big stomachs.

I had a scan at 32 weeks plus 1 day and baby weighed 4lb 6 and they were happy. Stomach was 80th centile. I think your measurments and weight sounds fine!
