What pain is normal pain in pregnancy? I have light pain like period pains and lower back ache, I'm about 8 weeks (still waiting for a scan) but I can't stop worrying I keep having anxiety about going to the scan and them saying the baby has no heart beat, I've always wanted a baby now I'm worried that something bads gonna happen and my world be crushed, any tips on staying calm? lol

Hi,

Hopefully this video is helpful - some common early pregnancy symptoms are explained by a midwife.

Hi @Littlemissteepot

It's so normal to be anxious during pregnancy Smile especially in the beginning when you're not showing and can't feel any reassuring movements.

All I can say, from experience, is that I did feel the same period-like pains. I almost felt as though I was going to 'come on' at any moment. It's normal. It's just your uterus starting to grow Smile

Feel free to PM me SmileThanks

I'm 7 weeks and I've had really bad cramping the whole time so far! I get cramping for two weeks before I come on anyway, but it has been really bad, so I called the doctor and they put me on to the Early Pregnancy Unit. I got a scan the next day and everything was fine! I'm still worried though haha I know how you feel! I'm sure everything will be fine for you too, my midwives were lovely and said that cramping is normal, some people just have it worse than others
Fingers crossed for you 🤞🏻
