Falling Pregnant after Miscarriage

So I did a pregnancy test last week which was a faint positive and then a day later started bleeding. I finally stopped bleeding today, but have been doing regular tests over the past few days. Each one has become fainter and fainter. I did a clear blue digital this morning with the result not pregnant.

My partner and I have been trying for another baby for about 2 months, after I was told they suspect I have PCOS. We were so excited when the pregnancy test came back with a positive, albeit very faint positive, result.

I went to the doctors today and their pregnancy test came back negative. As I thought, I have had an early miscarriage. It's really gutting as I was so excited to become a parent again, however I knew there was something substantially wrong with the bleeding I was experiencing.

The doctor and I figured out when I would have conceived and I would have only been around 2 weeks pregnant, maybe a week and a half.

My partner and I are going to keep TTC as this has just shown exactly how ready we are to be parents again!

So just wondering if anyone's been through similar and if so how soon after going through an early miscarriage did you fall pregnant?

Thanks everyone Smile

I’m sorry for your loss Flowers

I’ve had different experiences from it taking two months to even ovulate and then a few cycles to conceive again to getting pregnant in the immediate cycle following a miscarriage.

I’m guessing when you say you were two weeks pregnant, you are dating from ovulation and not your last period (which is how it is usually calculated). Does that mean you tested before your period was due?

I had a early miscarriage, I was devastated. Had a month off from trying and ended up pregnant. I actually conceived 2 weeks after miscarriage. I think it helped I relaxed. Currently just under 14 weeks and everything is looking healthy. Good luck xxx

I had an early loss in June.
Like you faint positive and started bleeding later that day. Ovulated two weeks later and normal period the month later. I caught again in August and am now nearly 7 weeks just praying all is well this time x

@SpottingTheZebras yes it was by chance I did a test. I started bleeding about 3 days after my period so thought I could be ovulating early so did an ovulation test = strong positive. I decided to do a pregnancy test just to be sure and that came up faint positive. I will attach pic (they're all in date order) xx

@Wordie I think my problem is I'm stressing too much about it. My mum said the same sometimes you can think about it too much! I feel your pain I'm so sorry for your loss but am so happy for you with your new little peanut! Everything happens for a reason I guess. ❤️ although it is difficult to go through such sadness. I'm hoping for some good news soon! Xx

@sprinkleofsunshine isn't it the worst - sheer disappointment. Fantastic news about your rainbow baby 🌈 hope all goes well for you and fingers crossed 🤞🏽
Hearing all these stories really fills me with more hope about conceiving again ❤️

Thank you @Happymum73058 it's hard the next time and for the first few weeks I was
Constantly in the toilet checking for any signs of blood. I have gotten a little less anxious now and that had stopped, hopefully once I get my 12week scab I may worry less and learn to enjoy more but I am a natural born worried anyway so prob not. It's still enjoyable though and feels great counting the weeks go by.

You will I'm sure, you know you can conceive and there is no reason when you have an early loss for the next one to be the same. They are really quite common. I need to take my own advice though as I know it's hard x

I had a miscarriage at 12 weeks, last month. We found out at the dating scan. It’s been a month of hell with 4 hospital admissions, 2 D&Cs, medication management and infection. All very traumatic and raw at the moment but I wanted to know if anyone had trouble or lucky info to share about conceiving after 2 D&Cs or infections. I feel I have no chance now which hurts so bad on top of all this. So happy for your rainbow babies, hope I get mine xxx
