When to tell other children

Hi there.

Im 5 weeks pregnant and have a 14 and an 11 year old.

Im not to sure when to tell them incase anything should go wrong.

When did you tell your other kids and why?

We told 13 year Old when I was around 8 weeks.
I would have waited til the 12 week scan if they were younger but they would have realised We had known for a while and didn’t want them to feel kept in the dark.
I was worried about what we would do if there was bad news but felt overall it was a greater risk that they would feel lied to by omission

Yes Im also worried they will feel we lied to them. My son who is 14 really doesnt want me to have another baby Especially as it is with my Boyfriend and not his Dad. I think he secretly hopes we'll get back together. So Im waking up at night and not able to go back to sleep because Im so nervous of his reaction. He also has a thing about being lied to or having things kept from him.

He is a weekly boarder and is with Dad every second weekend. I go for my first scan on the 10th Oct. So I was thinking of telling them weekend of the 12th ...
