Hi All

I haven't been around much because my laptops not working, i've managed to borrow one for a couple of hours though!

Just wanted to ask if anybody else had any experience of their baby presenting as a footling breech at 31wks. The midwife came today and showed me where the head is etc, she said he may still turn but feels he is quite big and might not. If he had been bum first I would of gone for a natural labour but she said with footling that there is a danger of the cord coming first etc etc anybody else got any experience of this? What do you think the chances of him turning are? I really don't like the thought of the docs trying to turn him, what does everybody else think

sure lulmama et all will be along soon - but as I understand it (non-expert), at 31 weeks you can still do quite a lot to help the turning process - lots of Optimal Feotal Positioning with tummy forwards and downwards (eg cleaning floors/skirting boards, sit forwards over birthing ball.cuchions/pillows, swimming on your front...)
My yoga teacher did stuff with getting people to lie with legs up a wall, then turning on hands & knees, but can't remember wat what stage she said to stop doign that...

Dd was footling breech at 38.5 weeks (had been for 10 weeks but no one noticed). Anyway they said they didn't want to try to turn her as she was small with not much fluid. They said to stay in hosp and have a cs next day (danger of her putting a foot down and squashing cord).
