Has anyone got an experience with using one? I’ve had one delivered but don’t really know much about them. This is my first baby so don’t really know what to expect!

Following too as in the same situation, had one delivered next week but yet to get it out of the package!

I used one. It helped me get through most of the early labour at home.
Not sure how much was distraction and how much actual pain relief, but it worked. I then sent it to a friend who used it too and felt the same.
Can't hurt to try in my opinion!

Used mine with dd1. Pains were in my back as she was back to back. Didn't know until hospital. Was great at helping control pain while in the car. Got to hospital at 7cm. Gas and air after that.

Got it into hospital bag for dd2. Grabbed it when labour pains started hurting. Realised it had no batteries. Very painful journey to hospital. Again dd was back to back.

Definitely recommend for early labour. Even the control of pushing the button helped.

Got me to 10cm for dc 1 and 9cm for dc 2. Worth a try.

Used one in both labours. Went to 8cm at home and in the birthing centre with TENS with my first. Did 7 hours on the syntocin drip using TENS in my induced second birth.

My advice is get your partner to read the instructions about how to put it on your back now so he isn't fumbling and flapping when the time comes. You need someone else to position the pads really - a midwife can do it if you start using it when you're already at hospital.

It works for me. When the midwife put mine on and turned it on while I was labouring with DC2 I thought a magic soothing hand had been laid on my back for a moment.

I used one. I was in labour for 5 days and it helped me get through the first 3 days of early labour. You don't know what kind of labour you are going to have but for me it was a case of every little bit helps.

I loved mine! I had a pool birth but I was only in it for the last two hours. My contractions were every 2 minutes for 6 hours 😒 I heard it lost its effectiveness after awhile so my husband put it on me when I was unable to speak through contractions. So I probably wore it for about 2 hours before getting in the pool. I had all my pain in my back so the boost setting was a life saver.
You just have it pulsing and then when you feel the contraction building you press boost and breathe through it!
Good luck :)

Thanks everyone! Sounds really positive. I’ll get it out the packaging and have a look at it tonight!
