This is probably a depressing post but is anybody else fed up so early on?

I'm 22 weeks and so uncomfortable. It's like I can feel my belly stretching and my organs getting crushed.

My hips are killing which is ruining my sleep and then I'm going to pee constantly through the night. 18 weeks is a long way to go.

Please tell me I'm not the only one. I'm so grateful that I've been able to get pregnant because I know people who have tried for years with no luck I just didn't think it would be this hard.

Sorry to sound so miserable 😩

I completely understand and sympathise I’m a lot further on but I’m really going stir crazy at this point I’m constantly getting sick still 24 hour heartburn exhaustion to the point I cant function as a human being and uncomfortable braxton hicks I’m 37 weeks now and near the end but still

Willoway · 29/09/2018 19:40

I'm the same! I'm 25 weeks pregnant and am really struggling with my hips.

Especially at night, I've taken to sleeping with a cushion under my bump and a couple of cushions between my knees. It doesn't stop the pain, but it helps! I also try to drink a little less the closer I get to bed to minimize the amount of times I get up in the night.

18 weeks does sound like a long way to go, but I'm sure it will fly by before you know it Flowers

I am exactly the same as you.
I’m 27 weeks though but have excruciating pains in my hips since sleeping in my side from 16 weeks. To the point now that for the last 3 nights I’ve woken up and cried.
I’m getting very emotional and feeling like I’m running out of time to get everything ready and starting to have anxiety attacks.
I’m not gmhuge but already I struggle to get my socks and shoes on and to get up from the sofa. I’m constantly straining my stomach and then panicking that I’ve done harm to the baby.
I’m not complaining about it at all though either (more just stressed and panicking all the time that I’m gonna do something wrong) I’d take any pain any day that this baby gives me, as long as he makes it here ok.
But I’m absolutely exhausted x

Thanks, it's nice to know I'm not on my own feeling like this. Sometimes the only thing left to do is cry. My boyfriend is being really good but there's only so much he can do and he doesn't really know what to do.

I'm investing in a maternity pillow tomorrow to see if that helps. My stomach feels like I've eaten a mountain of food and is going to pop.

I know it'll all be worth it in the end though 😊

Have you tried using a pillow at night for support and exercising ball for during day?

lovetherisingsun · 29/09/2018 20:00

Oh bless you. That ole chestnut of a "glowing pregnant woman" can be such bollocks. I hated being pregnant with all mine, especially the first - strong as an ox, even as a foetus, hoofing my ribs at the later stages etc. It's so, so uncomfortable. Pillow inbetween the knees helps, slow movements, matrnity pillow was a godsend. Keep going, it'll be all over soon and you;ll have that little bundle out to keep you company (and no more achy bits) :)

katie23913 · 29/09/2018 20:00

I just have a normal pillow that I put between my legs but I think I am going to get a proper maternity pillow tomorrow to see if that gives me more support. I have been considering a gym ball too I've just not known which would be best.

I bought a genii from mothercare and just a normal ball from Amazon think cane under a tenner might be worth mentioning to your midwife to see if you can recommend anything else that could help, she may refer you to a physiotherapist @katie23913

I've felt like this the whole way through. Just find being pregnant so hard. 32 weeks now so getting there, but feel like I've been pregnant forever this time. Xx

katie23913 · 30/09/2018 03:44

I have been to physio the other day. The only bad thing is the waiting lists are so long where I live for them they get you in a group now of around 8 at a time because they don't have time for one on one assessments. It was basically a classroom session where they educate you on why it hurts and give you a list of exercises to do. But they can take 4 weeks to have any effect. I think I will definitely try the gym ball and the maternity pillow for now to see if that eases the pain a bit.

Sending you lots of love. My baby is 5 weeks old and I can relate to how you're feeling.

Definitely try a maternity pillow (I got mine for under £20 on Amazon). I always found strangely that having something (usually another pillow) between my ankles really helped. Trial and error to see how the pillow helps you - it might take a few nights to feel the benefit but when you find your way it will be heaven

Love hearts sweets for heartburn, lots of rest and know it will be over soon and you'll have your beautiful baby x

FallenAngel89 · 30/09/2018 04:25

I know the pregnancy misery well! My baby is 6 weeks now and I don't miss it one bit but he is definitely more than worth it all. My hip pain was bad about 23 weeks but the further on I got it seemed to ease, although the heartburn and constant need to pee did not! Although it seems foreverrrr it really does end Grin Try and rest up, I know it's easier said than done but you will need it.
I hope the rest of your pregnancy gets better for you OP💕 xx

Harrypotterfan1604 · 30/09/2018 04:38

I feel your pain!! I generally do not like being pregnant, everything hurts, I’m tired and now I’m getting quite big moving is hard.
Im 27 weeks now so only 13ish weeks to go. Currently working a night shift tonight and combined with the pregnancy tiredness it’s absolutwly killing me off 😫😴
