How accurate are sexing scans at 17 weeks?

Hi all!

I'm currently 17 weeks pregnant with my first child. After suffering a miscarriage at 12 weeks back in April we really didn't mind what sex we were having, but found we couldn't wait until my 20 week scan to find out!

I had the scan at 16+5 and the sonographer said she was '100% certain' we were having a girl. I even asked if she was sure and she was!

However, I have heard stories of sonographers getting it wrong! She took a picture between the legs and it does look girly to me, but what do I know Grin

More eyes please! Smile

I see a vulva

I've seen boy scans, you can clearly see balls in them, much easier to sex.

Yeah that's a girl. I had a 17 week sexing scan with my youngest and could clearly see his bits, they were so blatantly obvious. There's nothing there, so she's definitley a girl!

I'd say girl ..m this is my gender scan; as you can see, definitely a boy Grin
