Hey! 😊

I went to the doctors yesterday due to breathlessness, heart palpitations, headaches, fatigue, hair loss etc.. all things I haven’t felt with my previous pregnancies and just haven’t been myself! They’re doing bloods next week to check my iron, thyroid levels etc so fingers crossed it’s all fine but I know these things will be sorted..however, my doctor also diagnosed me with asthma.

I had asthma quite bad as a child but I outgrew it and haven’t had an inhaler for 15 years. Has anyone been diagnosed with asthma during pregnancy and then it went after bub arrived??
I just can’t believe I have an inhaler again after this many years!!

I’ve actually been worried a lot about this the last couple of days. I had an inhaler in my early twenties but only mild asthma. The last two days I’m so breathless and getting quite dizzy and fatigued even though I’ve not had an inhaler for years. Only 10 weeks pregnant so wouldn’t expect to be breathless yet but I think it’s the asthma coming back, I really wish I had an inhaler right now!
No advice for you I’m afraid but solidarity! You are not alone.

I’m only 17 weeks and I found it so strange to be experiencing breathlessness this early on too!
Asthma didn’t even cross my mind but my inhaler is definitely helping when I need it. I was getting so breathless at night time especially. Just sitting and reading my eldest a story I’d be struggling.

I’d 100% recommend going to the doctors if you’re thinking it could be asthma.
I’ve never looked into it during pregnancy until now but it can be risky if left untreated (From what I’ve read)

I just hope it disappears once the bub is here 😩

I had asthma and it got worse in both pregnancies. Doctors took it v seriously. Also resulted in my asthma becoming better controlled full stop
