Hi,
Just wondering really if anyone had pre eclampsia in last pregnancy and are have been under consultant in second pregnancy and what happens at 36 week consultant appt ? I have mine on Monday , just got back from midwife she seems to think they will talk about inducing but if there’s no reason too why would they?

Has anyone been induced in second pregnancy because they had pre eclampsia in first but not actually got it in second?
With my first it was severe got it around 30 weeks in and out of hosp went in at 35 weeks stayed in for 1 week then they induced and delivered baby at 36 weeks, blood pressure wouldn’t go down so stayed in another week after didn’t get to go home until DS was a week old.

At the min everything fine I’m 35+4 now and no signs of it happening again.

Any advice appreciated thanks

Not me but my mum had it with me quite badly then mildly with my siblings and was just monitored closely, not induced with them. There's big age gaps so last sibling wasn't that long ago.

I’m being induced next Tuesday as baby’s growth has gone down on the chart a bit so think they doing that to be on the safe side
I’ll be 37 weeks then, getting excited now so much to do!

I developed pre eclampsia quite suddenly during my first pregnancy and was induced at just before 35 weeks.
During my second pregnancy I had growth scans and consultant appts. To be honest the consultant appts just felt like a formality because I was fine and baby was growing well. I was offered an induction at 40 weeks which I declined unless there was a clinical need. I ended up going 2 weeks overdue and was induced for being too far over! I did actually develop pre eclampsia again during labour/post natally but it was less stressful knowing the baby was ok.
