Bleeding after sex 36+2

Totally trouble free pregnancy so far, had sex with DH this morning semi-vigourously and bled a bit afterwards.

Before I got pregnant I had some bleeding after sex which was related to ovulation, it stopped totally the moment I was pregnant.

How worried should I be? Baby has been moving around quite a bit and it's stopped now...the only thing worrying me was it was brown, like it was old blood, and then there was a little spot of bright red blood later...

Lie on your side and count movements for a while. It's probably just your over sensitive (because of pregnancy) cervix.

Just count the movements and then if you're still worried book in for a scan. But I wouldn't be panicking if I were you x

I was told that having sex late in pregnancy can help the labour to start. Perhaps phone your midwife for advice?

Thanks, I've texted her and see if she gets back.

Any update OP?

No she hasn't texted me...normal movements and not bleeding any more. Internet seems to think it's not much to worry about, I will drop her another text this evening!

I m 37 weeks and had this aswell last week, your cervix becomes more irritated later in pregnancy and can cause minor bleeding of brown blood, as long as you haven't continued to bleed or had much cramping then you shouldnt be worried, my midwife said it's pretty normal, especially if your a bit on the dry and tight side as you start
As for movements my wee man took a couple of hours after to move around, a cup of tea or some chocolate milk gets him going. Xx

Sounds pretty normal especially safer sex bit at least you've sought reassurance to be on the safe side.
