Hi all

I'll be 5 weeks pregnant tomorrow and just wondering when the morning sickness will start. I know it different for most.

7 weeks for me and trust me you don’t want it!!

Stormwhale · 28/09/2018 10:44

I'm only 4 weeks and mine started before the bfp. It's horrible, and definitely didn't start this early with dd.

TheMagicTorch · 28/09/2018 10:46

Mine hit with full force at 8 weeks. Almost 11 weeks now and still bad - no actual vomiting just constant nausea (all day too - not just the mornings). Eat little and often if you can.

SpadesOfGlory · 28/09/2018 10:49

I didn't get any sickness (other than gagging when brushing my teeth), 13 weeks now and everything's ok!

SpottingTheZebras · 28/09/2018 10:50

Six pregnancies and I’ve never had morning sickness. I get all kinds of other unpleasant symptoms but lucky enough to avoid sickness and nausea.

pixielove123 · 28/09/2018 14:01

Thanks Ladies. Been feeling slightly nauseous all day. Thought it was too early to feel morning sickness. So hoping its a once off. Will see what happens tomorrow.

Good Luck with all the pregnancy's

ThanksCake

Started properly at 7 weeks with feeling sick on and off and puking here and there. Before that I started not to fancy certain foods which is very weird for me. Interestingly it's the 'fake meats' which turn my stomach the most, have recently been 95% vegetarian and eating and liking fake meat here and there, now I can't think of anything I'd rather eat less!

mommysharkdodo · 28/09/2018 14:18

I am either 8 weeks or 12 weeks (irregular periods) won't know until my scan next week!

I had terrible nausea all day every day last week it was awful, it's worn off a little this week it's only really bad on a night time now or if I haven't eaten for a while! I haven't actually been sick once (I sometimes think I'd rather be sick than feel sick) i just have the feeling that I am going to be sick. The way I described it to friends last week was that I felt travel sick all day.

My mom went through both pregnancies with no sickness and I have 2 friends who have both given birth without even knowing they were pregnant and they had no sickness whatsoever so everybody is different.

Good luck x

With all all 3 of my pregnancies it started before I got my BFP 😱

LittleDoveLove · 28/09/2018 20:44

Mine was from 5-10.5 weeks and never in the early morning! Mainly late morning to eve and peaking between 1.30pm-6pm. Weeks 8/9 where the worst. Extreme queasyness (never been one to be actually sick). I would get seasick walking a few metres. I still get it a 2-3 of hours a day but not nearly as bad. If you are lucky enough to not get it you're in for a much more enjoyable few weeks!

Stormwhale · 28/09/2018 20:48

@silverbythesea - can I ask how long it went on for you? This is my second pregnancy, but the morning sickness didn't start for me last time until around 6 weeks. I'm trying to console with myself with the idea that as it has started so early this time (before bfp), it will end early?

Chocolateandcarbs · 28/09/2018 20:52

Also before I got a positive pregnancy test... lasted until week 16 with child #1 and week 20 with child #2. Eating smal snacks regularly and (weirdly) lemons helped. You might get lucky and avoid it!

Nightmanagerfan · 28/09/2018 20:54

Started throwing up at 6 weeks- still going at 14 and of anything it’s got worse!

pixielove123 · 01/10/2018 13:32

Goodness. Im so sorry to all those who have it or had it really bad. Mine started on Sat. Its practically all day and dying down after about 6pm. Its not debilitating. But its constant. Drinking ginger tea or lemon water all day. And snacking is helping. I just hope it doesn't get worse Hmm

Constant nausea here. Almost 7 weeks. I didn't have it last time. Feeling utterly miserable and feel like I'm being a terrible mummy to my 4yo 😔

Sorry to moan.

oreolovegood · 01/10/2018 15:10

I'm 37 weeks pregnant. My morning sickness started at around 6 weeks and went on everyday a few times a day until I was 18 weeks. Picked up again around 34 weeks but now it's only about once a day

Plumsmith · 01/10/2018 15:14

I’m 23 weeks now. Didn’t get any morning sickness or symptoms other than being grumpy! Don’t worry let things happen as they’re meant to :)

Noodella18 · 01/10/2018 15:35

@mellongoose don't worry, you're doing absolutely fine, just focus on getting through this horrible bit.
I'm 8 weeks and feel totally shit, have been snacking frequently and trying to drink lots of water which is helping with the bloating xx

JoshMumsnet · 01/10/2018 17:22

We asked a midwife to explain morning sickness - sounds like for most women around 13/14 weeks is when it gets better for most (sorry for those for who it doesn't!)
