Sickness bug- 33 weeks

I'm 33 weeks pregnant and have managed to pick up a sickness bug from DD (4)

I'm being really violently sick every ten mins and my stomach is so painful I don't know what to do, my DP works nights so I'm home alone.

What can I do to feel better? This isn't going to hurt my baby is it?

Poor you. It won't hurt the baby, but you must keep hydrated. Try ducking on ice cubes if you can't keep anything down, and then sips of water (I boil it then cool it). Get well soon - it should pass quickly.

How long have you been sick for?

The main concern for you and baby is dehydration

You should have a number for the local maternity ward you can call for advice at any time. I would call them.

It's started just tonight. I'm trying to keep hydrated but nothings staying down. If they ask me to go in I've got no childcare though

Call them now and they may give you advice on how to look after yourself at home. There are some good suggestions above.

If they ask you to go in, you can call your husband to come home to look after your child.

Please please do go in and get on a drop to rehydrate you.

We almost lost DS2 at 30 weeks because I had a vomiting big and couldn't keep fluid down for 15 hours. My Braxton Hicks were coming every 30 secs- 1 minute.
I drove to the hospital and my obgyn put me on a monitor and a drip and realized that baby wasn't coping at all well with the contraction. Almost had to have emergency section right there.

If you're having contractions of any kind, even just BH tightening, I urge you to go. Call a friend/family to sit with your kids and go, please.

Ok, if it just started keep sipping water or sucking on popsicles if you can get a hold of any. Even ice cubes.
If you continue to vomit through the night and can't keep anything down go to the emergency room.
