It’s me again! The crazy, obsessive pregnancy testing lady Grin

Delighted to say that I’m expecting again. Delighted but feeling pretty bloody nervous too, although, I’m pleased to say that I’ve only taken the one test (CB digital WITHOUT weeks indicator!) and I’m not planning on taking anymore!

I’m going to see my GP tomorrow to tell him I’m pregnant and talk through my anxiety.

On a more positive note, I am feeling calmer this time around (I don’t want to jinx anything)

Any success stories to help me through? Would just like someone to talk to really x

Don't really know your back story, but hi!
I had two mc the beginning of the year, was fine with the first happening even though I tested lots and was anxious about a mc; shit happens. Second one knocked me on my arse even though I was so super positive about it and barely tested.
Then some miracle happened and I got pregnant without any cycle in between, my little wiggles sure is in there and all is going well after a huge bleed and a clot for a few days at 10weeks! Not to mention kicks and knocks and punches and hiit workouts and general eating things I probably shouldn't, and lifting waaaay too heavy things and not sleeping....
Anyyyway! Hope that helps! And fingers crossed for you!

@Emma, thank you. Similarly to you, I’ve had 2 consecutive M/C.

The first was spontaneous but the last one was particularly traumatic as it was a MMC at 11 weeks (baby died at 9+3)

Very lucky to have a healthy 5 YO DD, would love to I’ve he a sibling however.

I’m actually a lot more chilled this one than I was last time but I don’t want to jinx it by being confident. But also trying to think positively.

Lovely to hear that your pregnancy is well under way!

I don't think there is such thing as jinx.
As much as I convince myself there is sometimes (cue a weekend away on my own with dd and me saying, oh she'll have to sleep when we do x.... And she never 😫)
I think being relaxed is the best way to be. What will be will be, and you're chances are way higher of this going well now!

My first pregnancy ended in a MMC at 12 weeks. When I found out I was pregnant again in June I worried constantly about it ending the same way as the last one.

Needless to say I'm now 17 weeks pregnant with a baby girl ❤ I still worry constantly, especially with my 20 week scan coming up (I worry that she might have something wrong with her), but so far she's looking healthy and active Smile All we can do is try and stay positive, though I know that is far easier said than done.

@Emma, it’s awful what M/C does to your otherwise rational brain. I won’t even download a pregnancy app. Haven’t told my best friend (and I tell her EVERYTHING) and my partner and I have barely spoken.

I’m only 5 weeks today so very early, went to the doctors yesterday and he’s referring me to the consultant at the EPAU and midwives straight away.

Keep having cramps and backache which I’m taking as a sign that everything is stretching and growing. Sickness and sore boobs have been intermittent but I was being sick before I had a positive test.

@Cobaltrose, I remember you from the pregnancy after M/C thread. You were only very early when I last checked in on there, so pleased to hear things are going smoothly this time around! Good luck for your scan!

Doing better than I did at that stage!
I didn't tell my dh until I was 5 weeks Nd that was only because he forced it out of me! And didn't dare call the doctors until 8weeks because every time I had before I mc the next day....
Great news about getting seen to straight away!
Keep us all updated and good luck!

So far I’m much calmer than I was last time. Actually quite surprised with myself as thought I’d be a bloody nightmare from day dot!

Taking nothing for granted though. Everything, nausea, sore boobs, backache, cramps seem so intermittent at the moment. I so hope this little one sticks. Will definitely keep you all updated! Would love to hear your updates too x
