Of course it's acceptable, sign yourself off for a week. It's nobody's business. You have a long road of exhaustion ahead so use that week to really rest and think of ways to manage your tiredness when you're back at work. Those early days are awful when you're at work but they will pass! Congrats on your pregnancy :)

The doctor signed me off from work from week 8 to 11 when I was pregnant. My manager was glad because I was no use to anyone Grin
I pregnancy isn't an illness, however, it can make you feel terrible. I was constantly feeling sick or being sick and very tired. I think week 9 is often the peak of it.
You need to look after yourself I say have a week off.

@Banwell32 you need to rest for yours and the baby's sake. No job is worth you putting your body and baby under unnecessary stress Smile

Thankyou been signed off until next Monday going to spend most of the week sleeping and will talk to my manger about how I’ve been feeling when I’m back

Glad you have some time off lots of rest and trash tv. Hope you start feeling better soon. I know everyone is different but by week 12/13 most people start to feel better. Good luck with you pregnancy Smile
