IBS and pregnancy

Does anyone else suffer from IBS?

I am on my 2nd flare up in 2 weeks and it very painful/uncomfortable

I would usually use buscopan, ibuprofen and a hot water bottle for the pain but I can’t take those pills while pregnant

Do you think the hot water on stomach would be ok for a few minutes at a time?

Anyone else dealing with IBS in pregnancy? What are you doing to help? Seems to be worse for me now 😭

My IBS got 100 times worse in pregnancy, I started off with yoga, baths and paracetamol but it wasn't nearly enough so I got a gastro referral. I'm now on colpermin 3x a day, omeprazol and cyclizine and it's keeping it slightly more under control but I've been pretty miserable this entire pregnancy and still have three months to go you have my sympathies!

My ibs was awful with DS, settled down about half way through. Just managed it with diet mainly in the end (I was eating about 5 things!). Paracetamol and a hot water bottle are fine. It's so horrendous isn't it.

Thanks ladies, hot water bottle took you the edge off but paracetamol doesn't touch it

I can't even think what I could of ate that has triggered if off :(

I have it, I don't really know what sets mine off but they think it's linked maybe to endometriosis so the hormones could be making it worse. I get very little notice after eating before I get severe pain and need to run to the loo. I feel I've had a lot more rumbling pains since becoming pregnant and even less notice to get to the bathroom, not fun! :(
