Can I take it if I’m having a planned c section? I’ve heard it can be beneficial for the uterus afterwards, plus it can help with blood loss.

There's no reason you can't drink it. Whether it helps or not I'm not entirely sure but it can't harm to try! I drank it with my first and will be doing so again later this pregnancy :)

I would ask you midwife about it as I mentioned it at my last appointment and she said she would send me information about it as it acts like a drug and has an effect on your body x

How far along are you? It can cause uterine contractions so can prompt labour to start (it did with me...)

It’s supposed to help bring on labour and make labour progress quickly once it starts, as well as the benefits you list. Therefore maybe not a great idea if you need a c section? Breastfeeding is helpful for contracting the uterus back down after and to be honest if you have bleeding concerns based on medical history the doctors will be all over it.
