Starting Pilates while pregnant?

I’m 13 weeks pregnant, and wondered if it’s ok to take up Pilates (pregnancy Pilates) despite never having done Pilates before? I am determined not to gain so much weight and have a more active labour this time, than I did with my previous 2 pregnancies

Don't see why not. I did yoga while
Pregnant even though I'd never done it before.

Yoga would perhaps be more gentle on your body. Make sure you tell the instructor that you are pregnant (and/or even find a class specifically for pregnant women).

Swimming is also very good exercise while pregnant.

If it's pregnancy pilates, I don't see why not?! I took up pregnancy yoga the first time around and many of my classmates were first time yoga-goers too. It's great for your breathing!
