Baby movement

Hi I am 21 weeks and 3 days. I think I can feel movement. It's my first pregnancy. I just wanted to know when others started to feel movement and what you would describe it as. I am almost certain it is movement I can feel but I am not always sure.

At 19 weeks with this pregnancy (my first).

It felt like a tapping from the inside. Now at 28 weeks and it varies from kicks to rolls (which feel like when you go over a hump back bridge and your stomach flips!)

I can't quite remember when I felt movement for the first time but I remember being very uncertain about whether or not it was the baby. It felt very much like digestive movement or wind. It will be very low down. I didn't feel the "fluttery" feeling other women say they feel.

It felt like a fish flapping Grin

I felt my first movement last week (17 weeks).

It felt like a nerve twitch. Now I have a tickling feeling.

Felt like my stomach rumbling as if I were hungry... took a while for me to realise what it actually was (and put down the crisps!)

Like a nerve twitch for me too and also a bit like wind or your bowels shifting about! The first week or so of it I wasn't entirely sure if it was movement or not or if I was just gassier than usual. Now I'm about to hit 21 weeks and there's no mistaking it!

Celebelly · 27/09/2018 09:41

Oh, I was 18 weeks when I started to feel movement but 19 weeks before I was sure that's what it was. It's only since I hit 20 weeks that it's been occurring regularly. My midwife said anywhere between 18-22 weeks is what she would expect for a first-time pregnancy but it can depend on location of placenta. If it's anterior, it can make movements harder to detect.

I’m nearly 15 weeks and this is my first pregnancy, sometimes I can feel a very light movement like a quick heartbeat or something it’s so strange!
I thought it’s a bit early but apparently every baby is different
