Hi there. So I'm 6 weeks pregnant and need to decide where I want to give birth. With my first I went to Swindon due to her father living in Swindon but this time I'm going it alone (through choice). I'm wondering where is better bath or Swindon? Has anyone got experience with either, positive or negative. Thanks

I can’t speak for Bath, but Great Western’s (in Swindon) maternity unit is lovely and the midwives are also very welcoming and kind. My sister was born there (I was born in the now defunct Princess Margaret) and I’ve spent some time in the mat unit and can speak really highly of it.

id love to know the same answer!
I’ve recently moved to Wiltshire. I chose Swindon but that’s because I panicked and I know nothing about Swindon or bath!
I’m hoping to go to Chippenham Birthing Centre mind you.

I will keep watching this thread for updates 😊

Hey!
I'm hoping for Chippenham (due Jan 19) they've been lovely so far
And I'm hopeful for a quieter MLU rather than a hospital
Also, soda law I need to get through Bath at rush hour Grin
