Any friendly advice, think i maybe pregnant!

Hi all i am 7 days today late for my period! its always on time and never late apart from when i have fallen pregnant. I did a clear blue test 2 days ago on the afternoon but came back negative (should of done first thing but couldn't wait) did a second this morning another negative. We have been using condoms as the only form of contraception for years and had no problem, but for the last 2 days i have also vomited first thing and have pressure downstairs (happening for a few days). Could i be pregnant?? I have made an appointment with my gp but its not till next week! should i try to retest again in a couple of days? has anyone else been in this situation? At this moment in time its all i can think about, its driving me insane!!! Please only friendly comments thanks x

You need a more sensitive test.

If you’re pregnant enough to be having symptoms then it’s very unlikely it wouldn’t show on a pregnancy test. As with most things, there are very rare exceptions.
Have you tried testing with a FRER?

A First Response Early Results test. Comes in a pink box (insert joke here) It's possible you could be pregnant, but agree for strong symptoms seems strange that you're getting BFN's at 7 days late.

It’s a First Response (pink dye) test. They’re more sensitive than Clear Blue, especially if you used a digital one.

Ahhh i see, i should add that this is not my first child. Was wondering if the symptoms where earlier because of this Hmm

Symptoms are caused by the level of HCG in your blood so the fact that it isn’t a first pregnancy doesn’t make a difference to how early you feel symptoms.

I had nausea from the day of my missed period. Everyone feels symptoms at a different rate.

I agree with the above, get a FRER. You can get them from boots or on Amazon :)

Although you're a week late, you could have ovulated late and not be as far along as you think (if that makes sense) and just be feeling the symptoms early.

I would try another test with first morning urine in a couple of days.

It may just be late ovulation/late period though - this is surprisingly common even for women who normally have a very regular cycle.

Thanks for the replys, I am going to try and wait another couple of days before testing again! I will definitely try the FRER. Just hate the waiting game Hmm

Get a FRER and do it first thing in the morning. There'll be two in the pack anyway. Id have no patience to wait. Good luck

I've heard a lot of people on here say the clear blue tests are not that sensitive but I think they may mean the digital ones. Maybe try a different test. I just bought a cheap one from the supermarket. It was a Morrison's own brand and I was only 4 days late and got a faint line. I did a clear blue test about a week later that was a very clear positive.

UPDATE* i went to buy a FRER but none were instock so i had to purchase the asda own brand, so going to try these tomorrow. Fingers crossed Wink

Morning so today makes me 2 weeks late, had my GPS appointment. They gave me another urine test that totals 7 test I have taken all BFN!! They have told me to wait another month (week beginning the 29th) if i don't have a period by then, to back to have another pregnancy test done, what a nightmare it's turning out to be Confused

Oh I am it's the not knowing either way! God's knows how I am going to wait it out till the end of the month lol my next period is due 20th Oct, she also told me not to do anymore tests, I dont think I will be able not to retest if I miss another x

Have you flown long haul recently? It massively messes up your cycle, so that could explain your missing period

Ask for a blood test! My sister has a 4 year old and a 2 year old. Never had positive test not even at 30 weeks pregnant 😳
With her first she had to be pretty firm but in the end they tested her blood and yup pregnant!

Hi no i have never left the country and i will ask for the blood test at next appointment thanks. Still no sign of my period x
