7 Weeks Pregnant - Bleeding - Need some advice/reassurance

Hi, I’m new to this and this is my first pregnancy. To begin with, it took me a while to get a dark positive, took quite a few tests and was getting a line but not as dark as I think it should be. Anyway, last week, I took a test and it came back really clear positive, so that was that worry out of the way. Then this morning (I’m 7 weeks and 1 day) I noticed abit of brown specs of blood on the tissue after I’d had a wee. Then through the morning it was there every time I had a wee but only on the tissue. Now this evening it’s gone from a few specs to quite abit of browny red blood like a period when I wee. Nothing on my panty liner, it’s only there when I wipe. I also have a mild cramps feeling like a period. I also feel like the few mild pregnancy symptoms I had have gone. I have booked in for a scan in two days but I’m just really worried so would appreciate any advice anyone can give. Thanks in advance x

I just had this exact sam thing from just before 6w 4d to 8w 4d (today). First scan (6w 4d) showed areas of bleeding. Second (today) showed they'd gone and spotting stopped yesterday. So hopefully it's all sorted. Sonographer had no explanations for bleeds except maybe implantation bleeding took a while to come away. So I'm being optimistic from now on. Hope this helps.

Hi there! I know how stressful that is I literally went through the same thing! I started bleeding/spotting from about 6 and a half weeks pregnant and it was brown blood for like 2 weeks and my midwife wasn’t concerned but I was because every little cramp I got I panicked. Then when I was 8 weeks I got a bit of red blood after wiping so I panicked and went to A&E where they referred me to an early scan the next day. The scan showed my little bean with a heartbeat and the baby was perfectly fine, I was 7 weeks 4 days instead of 8 weeks but they couldn’t detect any bleeding on the ultrasound. I am 8 weeks and 3 days now and I’m still spotting so I’m really not sure what that is but it reasurred me a lot after seeing the baby! I had bleeding and was referred to an early scan. I was 7 weeks, baby was fine and had a heartbeat, they wasn't sure where the bleeding was coming from.
I now think I have a friable cervix. It means your cervix is extra sensitive in pregnancy and can bleed for a number of reasons, after sex and after straining for the toilet.
My scan was internal and there was a lot of old blood on the probe when they removed it.
There's a number of things it could be but if you're not cramping and haven't got any clots I wouldn't worry too much.
I was told bleeding lightly in the first trimester is quite common.

I had bleeding on and off in all of my pregnancies. Sadly my first I miscarried but then I went on to have three successful pregnancies. They say brown blood is old blood. Try and take it easy as much as you can.
