I am 35 weeks + 4, I had a terrible 4 day labour with my 1st my waters broke 39+5 and I had him 40+2, how was everyone's 2nd labour and how far along were you before you went into labour? X

My second labour was much much faster. First was about 12 hours mild contractions early labour, 7 hours of at home bad but manageable ones and then hospital about 9 hours before baby was born. 2nd labour was less than 8 hours start to finish but i was overdue on both and later on the second.39weeks now and just wondering when this baby is gonna to make an appearance

My second labour couldn't have been more different to my first. My first went on for over 48 hours with the last stage particularly painful due to dd being back to back. She ended up getting stuck and heart rate was dipping so needed forceps delivery. Labour two was so fast we didn't even make it to hospital! Ds was born on the bathroom floor about 2 hours after contractions started! Nobody could have convinced me that I'd have a labour like that after my first experience! Wishing you all the best for your second!!

I was the same as you with my first it was awful I was dreading second Labour, but it was so quick, I delivered her in the lift on the way to labour ward, poor chap having a fag in the car park didn't know where to look😀

I assumed most 2nd labours were quicker but my cousin just had her 2nd DS only 2 days overdue but 16 hour labour delivered him herself ok. Her 1st was 10 hour labour (1 week over) went in at 9cm dilated 😂
