Sorry if tmi, almost 15 weeks pregnant and really suffering with constipation and feeling bloated - sometimes it's so bad I look about 6 months pregnant! Are there any laxatives I can buy over the counter or can anyone recommend anything to me - anything considered except prune juice as it made me sick!!

hi, you really need to do some preventative management of this. Have a big bowl of bran flakes or high fibre bran EVERY morning of your pregnancy and drink 2 litres of water a day. If you don't (not scaremongering here, been there done that) you may have more problems further along especially with hemroids (spelling?) as the consitpation can get worse and pressure causes some protruding bits expecially if you have to strain. TMI!!

I used glicerine suppositories.
