False positive pregnancy test?

I’ve just done a test and I have a really faint line - it’s a boots one. I’m really confused by what this means - help?!

Faint line is still positive. Your hormones double each 48 hours so it should be stronger when you do another in a day or two x

It’s most likely a positive test so test again in 48 hours with a FRER to be sure. However, I’ve had a false positive before so it can happen - see picture of my false positive.

Happened me with my first pregnancy try again in a couple of days! U can get a false negative but never a false positive! It's to do with Hormone levels x

A false positive usually means it's a chemical pregnancy which is a very early miscarriage x

I got an extremely faint pink line on a boots test 10dpo which made me use a first response early result and whilst faint too it was a clearer line to see. Tests got darker each day.

I had a faint positive on a boots test, I'm 10 weeks now
I tested again four days in a row and put together there is a clear progression of darkness.

Thank you ladies. It’s so frustrating - I had a multipack I’ve tried the second one and it’s invalid no colour at all! I’ve got a weird feeling like I get before my period - is this normal? Sorry for all the questions, just very confused right now!

You're better to use your first morning urine for the best result. Your urine could have been too diluted this evening. Good luck.

False positives are very unusual so you are more than likely pregnant - congratulations!

Just an update if anyone is interested, I did a clear blue this morning and got a clear cross within a minute!
