Movements

This is my second baby but I can’t remember what the movements were like last time. When should the movements start to follow a pattern? When should I be expecting to feel them more regularly? TIA

I was told to monitor from 24 weeks by my hospital.

I got the kicks count app so that I can see how many groups of movements I get a day. Anything between 10-15 is normal for me based on that.

I thought you were supposed to start counting at 28 weeks? Im just over 24 weeks and I dont see a pattern yet?! Some days baby is really really active and others not so much... I just figured he was still small enough to change positions and me not feel it as much, should I be counting from now? He is always more active in the evenings generally but other than that no patterns that I can work out!

I'm the same as you @SophieStripe - 25 weeks currently and no pattern really. Some days really heavy movements and some days very faint, today is definitely the latter. I'm trying not to concern myself too much until 28 weeks as long as I can still feel something going on in there!!

Ahh mines a right fidget girls 😂

Some places say 24 weeks, some say 28 weeks. The consultants at the hospital were very insistent that I start tracking at 24 weeks. Couldn’t tell you whether there’s a pattern, but I’m definitely aware of how much he moves. I’m 28 weeks tomorrow.

So out of interest I downloaded the kicks count app when I last posted, so 3 hours ago. What counts as an episode of kicking? In the 3 hours I've counted 4 episodes...and by that I mean lots of kicks/wriggling for a good few minutes and then maybe half an hour of nothing. Or is the half an hour of nothing not long enough in between to count as two separate episodes? Mine is definitely a wriggler too and I started feeling movement really early which I was surprised about it being my first and having anterior placenta! I feel a lot of movement everyday although definitely some days it's more and the kicks are stronger. I'm glad I'm not the only like this! Some days it's like he is kicking out and my stomach physically moves, other days they are more internal kicks, if that makes sense?!
