I have had chronic hip pain for years and regulary took dihydracodiene and cocodamol 30/500 but havent taken any since i found out i was pregnant. I work on a busy medical ward and have hips that often dislocated and am under physio and consultant observations and been told I'll likely need crutches😞 as I'm still within my first year of employment I am only allowed 1 months sick pay if i have a doctor's line. Right now the pain is manageable and I don't have current concerns but I know as my pregnancy goes on I may not be able to manage on such a busy ward🤔 I obviously can't afford to take unpaid sick leave so was wondering if anyone has ever been redeployed to another department or if this is even possible? I'm so stressed out 😞

Do you work for the NHS? If so I believe they should make reasonable adjustments to your work to allow you to continue by completing a risk assessment. They usually have occupational health nurses or doctors who you can see to help guide you. They can work with you and your manager to work out what duties you can and can't do at work. Good luck x
