I’m 38 weeks pregnant and for the last couple of days I have had the most horrific back pain and cramps. They are just getting worse and worse.

I have been having tightenings during this time too but not really long enough or regular enough to time.

Up until today I have managed to take the dog for his usually 30/40 min walks but couldn’t even make it down the path today to the park I had to turn back and my husband did the rest of the walk himself.

I was in the hospital yesterday for a check up and scan, scan showed everything was normal(fluid/ bloodflow etc) the ecg showed up my tightenings and also the babies heart rate was a little high. Midwifes said it could be because of the tightening but they weren’t concerned with it.
I’ve to go back on Tuesday for a sweep and another ecg/scan.

I am being monitored more than normal because I’ve had so many reduced movements.

So could the back pain and cramps be a sign that our baby will be coming soon? I’m also getting a pain at the top of my bump that feels like I’ve done too many sit ups 🙈
