2nd timers

Expecting No. 2. 11wks tomorrow and already look about 4 months gone. Scan this week, does this sound like twins or just my slack old abs?

Also, when do you start feeling foetal movements 2nd time round? Was that really baby, or just indigestion?

I think it's really common to get bigger, quicker with no 2 but the general consensus among my friends was that the final bump was similar size to no 1.

With dd2 (who is now 15 weeks) I felt her move stupidly early, probably around 10 or 11 weeks I think.

I'd like to think it was twins (actually, that's not true), but I think your slack old abs theory is probably a good 'un.

I'd go with the slack abs as well, I'm only 6 weeks and already look like i did at 12 last time, lol.
I have also heard that you can feel movement this early with 2nd.

Hi i'm 25wks preg with dd2 and i def got bigger quicker i'm now huge however i've slowed a bit now. But like you guys i felt baby move really early etc. I'm just dreading the next fifteen weeks. How much more beached whale can i get!

I'm 15+5 and pg with my second, although my first was born 17 years ago

Dunno about getting bigger quicker (cant remember size of my first pg) but i felt movement from 14 weeks with this one.

I started to show much earlier with this one, but Oh how exciting if you're having two!!!

As for movement, it was about 11 - 12 weeks with this baby...after waiting till about 20 with the first! You kinda know what you're feeling iyswim. Let us know what the scan says...

Hi... definitely, definitely bigger much earlier with the 2nd! At 4 months I looked the same as I did when I was about 7 months with my 1st. My m/w said this is nearly always the case as everything is stretched from before and the baby has more room to make itself at home Also my 1st bump started low-down and this one is really, really high-up, right under my boobs, just like it was towards the end of the 1st. As for movements, felt No.1 at 21 weeks and this one at 18. Also didn't get the first flutters that you feel with the first, this one went straight to full-blown kicks!

Well, had the scan, and there is definitely only one - and it's a little one (they've changed my EDD), and so it has to be down to the shocking state of my flabby tummy!!!

Oh well, at least the foetus was very active, so I am not mistaking his/her movements for my dinner making its way through the digestive tract...

Congratulations! I too got big very quickly, but found that I caught up with myself about the 5 month mark. 3rd and 4th times were the same!

When I first saw the mw she thought I looked 12 weeks - I was 8 weeks . I felt mvts very very very early - about 8-10 weeks. Now though I'm not as large as I was last time.
