I don't lose baby weight while bfding

thus far, i have been bfding or pg, sometimes both, CONTINUOUSLY for oooh about 4 1/2 years. I'm not even going to think about how long it will be in total

I am getting bloody grumpy about this one. I am the only sodding woman who doesn't get down to pre pregnancy weight. I used to be a sodding size 10

I have a horrible suspicion this is with me for good, now.

You are lying thin lady.

I've eaten so much today I know I will never be down to pre-pregnancy weight.

fillyjonk · 10/06/2007 20:40

SIZE 10 I used to be

ps how is your newlife going?

OP posts:
NikkiBFG · 10/06/2007 20:41

Filly - I know how you feel!

I was in Mothercare yesterday and EVERY new mother that I saw seemed to be thinner than me and DS is just over a year!!

FrannyandZooey · 10/06/2007 20:43

the woman in the bed next to me when I had ds had a flatter stomach than I have ever had in my entire life

she had given birth 24 hours before

how was this possible?

fillyjonk · 10/06/2007 20:43

GOD I know

Its when you see someone through a pg and they are fatter than you to start with but within WEEKS they are not

oh feck me I am shallow but I am FED UP

and I can't find my waist

OP posts:
fillyjonk · 10/06/2007 20:44

(oh yes, i remember now)

OP posts:
NikkiBFG · 10/06/2007 20:45

Well, I was getting a leg rub from DH the other night (my first in a looooong time) and he started to grin and said awww....

What?

Aw...your legs are like doner kebabs....

I think he meant it endearingly.....

newlifenewname · 10/06/2007 20:46

It's good thank you. I have a chest of drawers, new curtains (mumsnetter generosity with the curtains).

The only things pissing me off are failing to get a really good job with decent money and my peanut butter addiction which is making me mahoosive.

I was a size 8 (mainly due to short arsedness) and am squeezed into size 10 jeans at this very moment. Tight top not an option as it reveals muffin top.

I even have fat arms these days. I've NEVER had fat arms before.

newlifenewname · 10/06/2007 20:47

FJ, I didn't know you were pg!

Kind of guessing as this thread grows. How pg are we talking?!

Congratulations!

fillyjonk · 10/06/2007 20:50

pmsl at doner kebabs, dp would have to die if he said such a thing

not much, nl, due some time next year but don't actually KNOW as can't be arsed to visit doctor. This is, to put it mildly, a shock, a suprise and a derailment.

NikkiBFG · 10/06/2007 20:52

Oooh congrats Filly!!!

DH kindly suggested we go for no two soon so that I don't have two lots of baby weight to lose at two separate times, can just do one lot in one go....

newlifenewname · 10/06/2007 20:54

Oh, but very lovely nevertheless. Will you need a tent upgrade now?

fillyjonk · 10/06/2007 20:54

gosh nikki

you saw him first, remember....

i know whats on the table here. my mother STILL hasn't lost baby weight from either pg, and my db is 25, so...

god i shall just have to learn to sew and make kafkans

Nbg · 10/06/2007 20:54

But but but Filly

just think how well you have done for breast feeding for so long!

You might not be able to shift the weight whilst feeding but chuff me, at least you are breast feeding and doing a damn good job of it!

fillyjonk · 10/06/2007 20:54

did you not hear about the tent?

it split, right down the middle, shortly after the greyhound incident

it was one of the reasons for our hasty departure.

Oh! I didn't recall that the bastard dogs actually caused the tent to split!

What have you now? I am tent-less right now. Need to start looking once the indoor furniture situation is resolved!

Breastfeeding made me retain weight too, I bf for 11 months and was pg again by then.

It does go though, when you stop, just have to not eat peanut butter and chocolate all day.

fillyjonk · 10/06/2007 20:59

i have now a flash from millets, courtesy of my mum

you unzip it and it pops up, it is fabulous

yes, see i used to be able to eat what i wanted, i'd like to go back to THAT really

fillyjonk · 10/06/2007 21:14

oooh thats EASY franny

OP posts:
Aloha · 10/06/2007 21:15

I piled it on while pg - despite eating much more healthily and drinking about 1% of the alcohol I used to consume - and then never lost an ounce while breastfeeding. I was a size 16. DD is now two and four months (second child). I gave up breastfeeding about two-three months ago, and have made a real effort and lost about two stone off my post-pregnancy weight and am a size 12 again. And I'm 43. It can be done.
I am hoping to lose another 10lbs to be a 10-12.

FrannyandZooey · 10/06/2007 21:50

My milk is algae flavoured

and more to the point my milk is Gone

fillyjonk · 10/06/2007 23:04
