Have my waters broke at 35 weeks?

A couple hours ago I was walking and felt this trickle of water. Went to the toilet and my knickers were wet.
Didn’t smell of wee and I would have known if I’d wet myself!

My normal pelvic pain has spread to around my lower back the last couple days and I’ve had Braxton Hicks constantly for over a week. I’m getting loads of hot flushes as well.

I’ve never experienced this before and only being 35 weeks I’m unsure what to do and whether it’s definitely my waters. I don’t know what else it could be. The trickling has stopped now.

Any advice? Thanks

I'd probably phone midwives. None of us will know for sure c

Ring hospital they’ll have you in and check it was your waters xx

Thank you. I’ve called and spoke to them. They said to wear a pad to see if any more trickles out in the next hour. x

My midwife told me last week that if your waters break at the front they gush, if they break at the back it could be a trickle and then very little else (and that I would be advised to wear a pad to check if this happened)

See you have contacted your midwife hope everything is ok x

Please please get checked out! I had exactly the same thing at exactly 35 weeks but it stopped. Saw midwife the next day and she said baby’s head can sort of plug the leak so it can stop. I was also feeling really dreadful so she sent me for a check up - one of my twins wasn’t moving and I had an emcs right away.

It could be hind waters, either way it’s good to get it swabbed and find out.

Did it smell sweet at all? Cos if it has a sweet smell then it will be your waters. I'd ring triage asap xx

Well I’ve not had any more leakages!
I did have a bit of brown/red makes on the pad so maybe it’s a bit of the bloody show thing. I’ve left it for now but my bump has dropped a lot and can feel the baby is engaged as can now barely walk with all the pressure down there, very uncomfortable. Just have to see what does it doesn’t happen over the next couple days. Thanks everyone x

Have you spoken to a midwife? I'd be concerned that coloured fluid might possibly be meconium in your waters.

Rooroo1012 · 21/09/2018 15:14

I’m at hospital now for a routine appointment so I’m going to ask them to examine me. I’ve went to the loo an hour ago and wiped away some flesh blood but looked like it was mixed with discharge. Hard to explain.

I had spotting at 35 weeks at 7 am.
Had an emcs at midday!!

CocoLoco87 · 21/09/2018 15:23

Sounds like a show and the start of your waters. Good job you've got your appt today!

Rooroo1012 · 21/09/2018 17:20

Been here since 3pm. They’ve done emc and now waiting for doctor to do internal examination. Due to gestational age it has to be a doctor apparently. Got protein and blood in urine so they’re thinking I got uti.
Be glad to get end results of all this. Thanks ladies
