Am I late or do I need to wait?

Last month I was 7 days early with AF. How do I calculate when my next period is going to be? Is it 28 days (usual cycle) or 28 days plus 7 days?

If it's 28days I'm a day late.

Bit of a back story. This time last year I found out I was pregnant and lost the baby. I have been trying all year round to get pregnant again and have had no joy.

Last month I was 7 days early for the first time ever, I've always been on time 26-28 days.
6 days ago I had minor spotting for 2 days.
I've tested all week up until yesterday when I used my last test and have only had negatives.
I've had heart burn all week and no cramping apart from the two days I were spotting last week.
I need to know if I'm late or not. It's driving me crazy not knowing what's going on with my body.

If your normal cycle length is 28 days, would expect af 28 days from the start of your last period. Cycles can vary in length though (as you’ve seen) so unless you were charting then you don’t know for certain if you are late, or if you ovulated late and this is just a longer cycle.

What tests have you been using?

A FRER should give a result from now whether you are late or still a bit early.

As munchkin says though, without knowing when you ovulated it's a bit of a guessing game.

That's what I was thinking @mumofmunchkin but I wasn't sure.

@Stephisaur it was just a cheap one I ordered from amazon. I only ever use the cheap ones from Poundland or Wilkinson's anyway. I'm gonna buy some more tomorrow at which point I'll be 2 days late. Praying AF doesn't turn up.

I use the Flo app to track my cycle.. the app is telling me I would of ovulated between the 2nd and the 8th of September.. I had two days of minor spotting on the 14th and 15th of September

The spotting could be implantation bleeding, but I wouldn't expect to get a (faint) positive on a cheapy test until tomorrow/Saturday if that's the case because they aren't that sensitive.

@Stephisaur well I'm gonna buy some tomorrow and test tomorrow and Saturday morning. Hopefully I'll get the BFP I want but I'm not holding my breath and getting my hopes up :)
