I am currently suffering a MMC.

Confirmed last Thursday at 12 weeks and baby made it to 6/8 weeks. First pregnancy.

Can I ask how long it has taken to pass the sac I have just had a weekly scan and I thought with all the bleeding and clotting I have already had i was near the end.

However they confirmed I have yet to pass the sac. I don't want to take medication if I can help it.

Be interesting to know how much longer I will have to suffer for.

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I’m so sorry for your loss. It’s very emotionally draining waiting to miscarry. When I had my mmc, I bled like a light period for nearly 2 weeks until I passed the sac. Take care of yourself! Best of luck for the future x

Thank you for answering so quickly.

Much appreciated

It's now been 10 days since the start of my Miscarriage. I have still not passed the sac if nothing by Monday I am going to call EPU regarding taking the medication.

Does it happen quickly from there?
What is it like? I'd rather not take it but I'm fed up now.

I had the exact same thing happen to me . First pregnancy got to twelve weeks to discover lost baby around 6 weeks .

I waited two weeks and nothing happened so opted for medical management , this also unfortunately did not go to plan so ended up with a d and c which was fine . No pain afterwards and very minimal bleeding .
Quite quick procedure . Keep your head up and I promise these next few weeks will be the worst and then it does get easier , we got pregnant again within 2 weeks and unfortunately lost that baby also at 6 weeks but now 16 weeks pregnant and so far so good 😊
You will get there just a slightly different journey than what you expected xx

Thank you @SAS2806
Congratulations on your current pregnancy and I have everything crossed you have a lovely baby.

Did you go for early scans on your current pregnancy to check as there is no way I could now wait until 12 weeks I'd rather know something was wrong early on.

Think I will phone and try the medication first.

Yes had private scans twice which confirmed an issues but the hospital would not accept them as they were not performed by NHS and they had responsibility for terminating pregnancy . Was very frustrating but they made me have a scan with hospital and then come back in another two weeks to confirm no growth x

I had the exact same experience in April - found at scan, same timescales as you, had some bleeding & clots after. I thought I hadn’t passed the sac, went back a week later for another scan and I had. Still lots of lining though, so I opted for the tablets to get it done with and all was over within another week. So sorry for your loss and good luck 🤞 x

Thank you, I guess I can understand it from there view but at the same time it's heart breaking.

Thank you for replying to me.

Ps currently 6ish weeks and have booked scan for 7.5 weeks as while it wouldn’t make a difference to the pregnancy, I’d much rather have known at 7-8 weeks than wait until 12.

Funnybunnyfluff · 22/09/2018 10:08

@Melamine
I completely understand that.

I hope everything is ok for you on your scan. Must say next time I can't say I am going to be excited like I was this time.
