Bleeding...again. In limbo.

So I'm 7.5 weeks pregnant. I had a scan at EPU last week as I had spotting and there were two small areas of bleeding. Baby was ok. Got a heartbeat. Measured 6.7mm for 6w 4d which is about right from the charts.
She did say there may be more bleeding until those bits pass or coagulate. It stopped over the weekend but now I have a bit more than last week! I don't know if it's the second (much higher up) bleed passing or something worse.

I went to the GP today and she's re-referred me for 1-2 weeks as she said that will give a better picture if there's anything wrong.

So now I'm just stuck waiting. I know there's nothing that can be done if it's the start of a miscarriage and I'm glad I got a little picture last week. But I just feel lost now.

Hugs I too had bleeding early on in my pregnancy, with big clots and it was such a worrying time. Can you book in for a private early scan for reassurance?

I had a call from EPU and they can see me Monday. I've decided I'll go to this but if it's ok I'm not going to any more until my next one where I'll be 13 weeks. It's nice to have the reassurance but realistically if it's not meant to be there's nothing I can do.

That's good that they will see you on Monday rather than having you wait. There can be plenty of reasons for a bleed and doesn't always mean the worst case. Hope your scan on Monday goes ok ❤️

I had bleeding with both miscarriage and my DD - my consultant told me around 50% of bleeding is not due to miscarriage - I had a huge bleed with huge clots at 12 weeks just after the scan and I saw my consultant a few days later who said if I can see a heart beat then I'm honestly not worried and you shouldn't be either - she was lovely! Anyway bleeding continues for around 6 weeks slowly changing colour til it stopped and absolutely everything was fine. She's 10 now.

So try not to worry, just keep busy and wait for your scan. After the foetal heartbeat has been seen the chances of miscarriage drop so that's a big tick ✅ and also that early in pregnancy there's invasion of vili into the uterine wall and this can cause bleeding, along with hormonal changes - it is probably just something like that - good luck and update us with good news

Well after two weeks the spitting stopped yesterday and today we got a lovely little scan with growth and heartbeat. Relieved but still cautious.
