Doppler - is this the heartbeat?

Hi everyone 😊 I’m 10w 3d today and I thought I’d try using my Doppler (bought it for my last baby but used it from 12 weeks), and I think I’ve found the heartbeat 😁 it’s really fast, but the screen on my Angel Sounds doppler isn’t showing a heart rate? What do you think? I’ve uploaded it below 😊

Best asking your midwife. They don't usually listen until 16 weeks as it's difficult to find until then.

Sounds like it to me! There's a lot to listen to down there like the placenta and obviously your own heartbeat haha but babies is distinctly faster. Depending on your trust the midwife will listen to the heart from 16 or 24 weeks. Good luck! Smile

Yup, I'd say so!

Baby's heartbeat usually sounds like a train or horse galloping.

I did find one on mine at 10wks, but it was bloody difficult and I think due to this it doesn't register properly, although you can still hear it. The button on the left measures the rate in different ways and one of them is better than others (the number in the top left will change when you press it). It's much easier to measure now at 13 weeks, which is why I think midwives wait until 16.

Find your heart rate, then the one you think is the babies. Unless you're really tachycardic it should sound much quicker than yours.

Yes that’s babies heartbeat. If your struggling to notice, check your pulse at the same time and you’ll find yours is a lot slower compared to sound of the babies

Thanks all :) my heart rate was definitely much lower than the heartbeat I heard!

Yeah I picked up one of these a couple months ago too! Sounds very similar to mine.... it is difficult to establish between your placenta and baby haha! But once you know, you just know if that makes sense 😂🤰🏻

Lovely to listen to! 😍🙌🏻❤️
