8 week lower left abdominal pain

Hey.

I am 8 weeks pregnant and I have had really painful lower left abdominal pain like sharp stabbing and cramping pains right before where my leg starts. I also keep getting these very sharp shooting pains up my vagina that stop me on my tracks. Has anyone else got this?

It sounds relatively normal but obviously always check with your midwife if your unsure. It sounds like the stabbing pains you're describing are round ligament pain which is what you get from your uterus and all expanding. As for the shooting vagina pains - very very common. Every pregnant woman I know has had them. I'm not entirely sure what they are to be honest!

I hope you're feeling better soon and obviously if your worried, in a lot of pain or suffer any bleeding speak to your midwife. The first trimester is just 13 weeks of worry!
