Pull Out Method - Pregnant?

Ok, so i know this method isnt 100%. Me and my husband are usally careful but after a drunken weekend we ended up using this method 5 times in 48 hours (yeah i know, i thought the same- married and still having sex? lol Grin) Well anyway checking my calender i was ovulating that day! Thought nothing of it until around 3 days ago (6dpo) i started feeling really nauseous.
-Completely off my food. Id gag at things i wouldnt usually.
-i find myself crying at stupid adverts and programmes no normal person would cry at.
-Im really bloated, especially after eating.
-Im cramping alot.. more so now. Sharp pains.
-Ive been so so tired, like cant keep my eyes open.
-Ive broke out in so many spots,
and finally last night (8dpo) my boobs started tingling randomly. Very much like a "let down" when breastfeeding. Today (9dpo) they have been alot more painful. Very heavy, tingling, sore.

So on paper this would sound like pregnancy symptoms right? i never suffer with my boobs usually before AF so its really unusual. This will be my 4th pregnancy so youd think i knew what to expect right? My boobs only hurt with my last baby so i cant say for sure its a definite sign. I tested using a cheapie today (7pm) and it was negative.
I guess my question is, am i testing too early? What are the chances of pregnancy from the pull out method? We TTC with the other three and caught in the first month with them all so id say im pretty fertile.
Not even sure why im asking because noone can tell me im pregnant or not lol but ive not told a soul so i need to tell someone and get some advice lol.

Thankyou xx

I don't think it's likely but it's definitely possible to get pregnant from the pull out method. DH and I used it successfully for 8 years until I fell pregnant with DS.

I also fell pregnant first month of trying with DC2, so it's not that I'm not fertile.

So basically I'm saying for me pull-out method had a failure rate of only one time in 8 years of regular (average twice-weekly) sex.

Thanks Coffeeforone. Weve always used this method since having my first daughter 6 years ago. The only difference is we would only use it when i wasnt near ovulation. We would use condoms during that time. So im not sure i can even say if its been successful or not for me.

Yes it’s possible. My SIL did Shock

cloudtree · 19/09/2018 09:36

Of course its possible. I'm surprised you even have to ask.

TheFantasticFixit · 19/09/2018 09:43

God where to start.

The answer to your questions is yes.

Wait until your period is due, and test then.

NewNameDueToMyIdiocy · 19/09/2018 11:53

6 d.p.o. is probably too early to test if you have normal length cycles. How do you know exactly when you ovulated, are you temping? You can definitely get pregnant from the pull out method.

beccii161016 · 19/09/2018 12:34

I mean it's possible but still unlikely (assuming he's pulling out in time!). Either way, you're definitely testing too early 10dpo is generally the earliest I've known people to get a positive but even that is early really. Wait until the day of AF and test again.

LemonysSnicket · 19/09/2018 13:25

Yes, having sex 5 times in an ovulation period using a method that is ineffective if used even a tiny bit less than perfectly can get you pregnant...
But all of your symptoms sound like my period symptoms... or they could be psychosomatic

Sophie14x · 19/09/2018 16:08

Cloudtree, I wasn't asking if it's possible. I'm not silly. I asked what are the chances of pregnancy. So is it 1 In 100 people etc

OP posts:
Littlechocola · 19/09/2018 16:10

4 in 100 apparently.

Kez99xo · 19/09/2018 16:28

We did pull out method and i got pregnant by it. Woudn't rely on it

Thesnobbymiddleclassone · 19/09/2018 16:31

The pull out method is awful so of course there is a chance you are.

SinkGirl · 19/09/2018 16:33

Way too early to test.

I knew I was pregnant about a week before my period because my breasts weren’t just sore - I looked like I’d had a boob job.

It turned out I was having twins though so my hormone levels were mad.

bellinisurge · 19/09/2018 16:39

That isn't a method.

ruthieruthuk · 19/09/2018 16:45

When are you due your AF Sophie? Yep there's a chance

jadeywadeyyox · 19/09/2018 16:50

"not 100%", it's the worst 'contraception' method, its not even contraception...
You don't get pregnant when you're not near ovulation, because you're NOT near ovulation and by definition, cannot get pregnant...
That has absolutely nothing to do with pulling out.

All those symptoms mean absolutely nothing as they could be for hundreds of reasons, just take a test...

jadeywadeyyox · 19/09/2018 16:53

And any sperm that was still inside of his 'tube' will come out with (ewwww saying this) pre ejaculate, and that can cause pregnancy, as sperm only died when oxygen hits it and it can stay alive inside of you or his tubes for 3 to 5 days.
Another reason why pulling out is stupid 😂

beccii161016 · 19/09/2018 20:19

To be fair it's since been debunked that pre-ejaculate can cause pregnancy but obviously the pull out method isn't a method to use if you're not looking to have more children!

Hands up I used it for a year but we were open to having more children.

Good luck either way Smile
