14 weeks and brown spotting

Can anyone talk me off a ledge here? Panicking somewhat. I'm currently 13+6 and since Saturday evening (now Monday) I've been having really light spotting.

I previously had a miscarriage at 7 weeks which started similarly, so I'm nervous 😭

Started off as pinkish tint to CM wiping after a constipated poop on Saturday (sorry...). I rang the midwife helpline and they advised I go to A&E as I was 3 hours away from my usual hospital and it was out of hours. I had an emergency scan which was VERY quick but showed baby fidgeting away. Was temporarily calmed.

But I've been to the loo several times since and almost every time there's been some brown on wiping, and a little bit of staining in my pants.

It's not "got worse" but because of the previous miscarriage I just can't stop worrying. I'm supposed to be travelling to Croatia on Thursday and now I don't even wanna go incase something goes wrong 😭

Can someone tell me if they ever had anything similar? And how it turned out, either way? I know that now I'm past 12 weeks the risk should be lower but I can't help panicking incase I'm the unlucky statistic.

I had this around nine weeks, called midwife and she told me they wouldn’t scan me as it was over the weekend (Saturday morning in fact)... horrendous wait over the next couple of days and went for a scan Monday 11am... baby was fine and she is now a bouncing ten month old baby. I really hope it works out ok, if it’s not heavy or painful that’s a good sign so they told me x

I had exactly the same thing at 15 weeks and was terrified! I also had a miscarriage at 7 weeks and that was similar to how it started. However a scan showed the movement & heartbeat which meant the bleeding wasn't coming from the baby. The bleeding tapered off after 1-2 days but happened again at 16 and 18 weeks, and they never really found a cause for it. (Currently 25 weeks)

I suspect it was a burst blood vessel on the cervix due to stretching/growing. The fact that it happened to you after straining probably means it was mechanical, so please try not to worry even though it feels impossible. It's probably wise to get checked if it happens again since the dr can measure your cervix length (in the rare possibility that's the cause, there's effective treatment).

It's so hard not to worry and my only consolation were stories on Mumsnet of women who went through something similar and everything turned out fine!

I had a very heavy bleed at 13 week, but had no other symptoms. It was over Easter so had to wait for 3days for another scan. Everything was fine on the scan but there was an area where they could see a collection of blood and warned me that I would probably bleed for a while. I bled on and off until 20 weeks then stopped. DS will be 14 this week but I can remember very clearly those long hours of uncertainty. Bleeding is more common than people realisein the first half of pregnancy.
Hang on in there, cross everything, try and relax and hopefully all will be well.

I had this about 6 times throughout my last pregnancy. Was so frightening each time. All turned out fine for me and my baby will be 1 next week. The first time it happened I went for a private scan and the consultant told me that so many women have unexplained bleeding throughout pregnancy.

Hope you're doing ok op and that the bleeding has stopped
