I'm 26 weeks and my baby's head is measuring 2 weeks ahead and his tummy is measuring nearly 4 weeks ahead.

I was told by my obstetrician that as long as I don't have GD then it's absolutely fine.

I make big babies so it doesn't surprise me that mine as big.

So it can be absolutely normal.

My babys head and waist were both measuring 3 weeks ahead at my 32 week scan and i was tested for GD which luckily came back negative. Got my next growth scan on Friday and I'll be 26 weeks. They've said if baby is still measuring 3 weeks ahead they will discuss induction due to the size but the consultants wasn't worried and no mention of infections etc

Another one here who was told my babies both had head circumferences above 90th percentile in stark comparison to their other measurements, was told they had concerns of hydrocephalus, turns out I have two perfectly normal healthy kids who just have abnormally large (but not so you would notice from looking) heads. Always have to buy ages 8-12 hats for them since they were about 4. They take after their dad. No hats fit him.
