I've just started having an allergic reaction on my face and reached straight for a piriton tablet without thinking. In a mad panic now. Will I have harmed the baby ? I'm 31 weeks tomorrow.

Just one no - my close friend is so allergic she took anti histamine during the entire pregnancy

Alternatively, your doctor may advise you to take chlorphenamine (Piriton), which is also considered to be safe during pregnancy, although you shouldn't take it close to your due date. If you take it when you are near to giving birth, the drug could affect your newborn, causing him to be irritable or to have tremors.

Thank you @Quartz2208 that's put my mind at ease a little

piriton is pretty safe.
cetirizine or loratadine would be fine as well.

hope you feel better soon
